Technical Editing

So you've written a show-stopping quilt and you're ready to have it tech edited. Awesome! I would be thrilled to do that for you!

Technical editing can take your pattern to the next level by making sure it is polished and professional.

My goal is to help you have the very best version of your pattern. Included in my services:

• Checking for accuracy in calculations, including fabric requirements, cutting instructions, and block/quilt construction
• Thorough proofreading for grammar, fluency, and general coherence 
• Verifying the accuracy and clarity of diagrams
• Providing feedback on overall flow, feel, formatting and consistency
• If desired, I will do a second look to review the pattern before it is released. 
• If desired, I will share & promote your pattern on my Instagram on Release Day.
• Returning clients will receive a 10% discount.

Once we are in touch, you will send a PDF of the pattern to me. I will make notes on the PDF using Adobe Acrobat and email it back to you within 5 business days. If you need edits sooner, just let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate.

My standard rate is $30/hr. Work time will be recorded and logged in 5 minute increments, and an invoice will be sent when all work is completed. Invoice will need to be paid within two weeks.

*At this time, I am only accepting traditionally pieced patterns, not FPP or EPP.
